-The Bhagvadgita, Chapter 2, Verse 47

“A man’s karma is to forever turn the wheel of life towards a better future for all”

Karma is the ultimate duty of a human being that gives him a place in this world and after, its meanings are manifold. The Bhagvadgita has pondered extensively on a man’s karma that means his duty, his actions, his faith, and his future. The purpose of a man’s life is to perform his duty, his actions so that it serves the larger purpose of human life.
His work has to be selfless; the incentive to work should not be his own betterment. He should not think about the consequences of his diligence for himself. To make sure that this movement of life is as flawless as that of a wheel, he has to perform his duty to perfection. Karma is an instrument for the development of all of mankind.

“The wheel of dharma is the unstoppable energy of life”

The wheel of dharma is the symbol that Asoka the Great, an ancient emperor of India utilised to represent the peace and prosperity that was brought about by the laws he laid down in his empire. Independent India adapted this symbol as the center of its national flag, to uphold what had forever been the philosophy of a land.
Dharma has multiple meanings. As a concept, it denotes honesty, righteousness, faith, wisdom, belief, truth, law and justice. Simple yet multi-layered, it empowers a people with an unshakable faith in the virtue of man. The wheel of dharma is a timeless symbol of perpetual movement and has stood to represent the values necessary to ensure the smooth progress of this life. It is incumbent on man to keep this energy flowing, to make sure the motion of life is smoother, faster and grows more flawless as it spins into the future.
